2010. Batumi, Adjara (Georgia).
State: Designed.
Scope of the work: Design. Documents for construction.
Client: Government of Ajara.
Height: 25 m.
Budget: 4.100.000 euros.
Description: Conceived as a meeting point, the architecture and the city are mixed in this open and recreation space. The tower square has been designed as a place for enjoyment, to rest, to meet other people, as an end and a starting point in the new open area. The tower consists of five different volumes with a total height of 25 meters. A central fountain has its source in the interior of the building and expands itself radially outside, so that the building blends with the environment. The water is the leitmotiv of the building. In its way through the building it generates different spaces and atmospheres. The transparency of the openings and arches allows the display of the indoor fountain and the decorative elements that are part of the interior. The historicist language used remits us to the early twentieth century ottoman architecture, where clocktowers were built as emblematic buildings.
